We'll help you upcycle spring clean de-clutter your textile stash

Hi fabric lovers, buying textiles can become an addictive hobby and often leaves you with an insane mountain of pretty but unused textiles. If you’re looking to de-clutter your collection, we can help. Attend a fabric swap event, visit us at our shop or arrange a collection below.

Follow the 3 steps before arranging a delivery.

Pick the fabric you’d like to give a 2nd home to (maybe they’ve been with you for a while, you’ve grown out of it or it’s taking up too much space)

Label the fabric with measurements in meters/centimeters, the fibre content and the condition. E.g. 100% cotton, 4.6m, never used but 8 years old.

We know that as a home sewer you do not always have the fabric content, however try your best. We also love reading the stories that come with every fabric, so feel free to share that information also.

Rule: Please ensure your textile is in good condition, almost new. We are working on ways to ensure poor quality (e.g. stained, used fabric) can be recycled or reused.

Arrange a collection below, we will send you an email confirmation. You can be at home to answer the door, or leave a pile outside your door with “FABRIC SWATCH” clearly labelled.

Service available to Londoners only (speak to us if you’d like to start one in your part of the UK). For questions email hello@thefabricswatch.com.

We are the Traid for your home textiles. On the first week of every month, we collect your excess textiles giving you room and space to breath and get started on your long awaiting textile projects.
